Good schools increase property values, so a YES! vote can actually increase the value of your home over time.
NO TAX INCREASE:
Because this bond would extend the current millage rate into the future, it will generate $92 million in investments for the students of St. Johns Public Schools without a millage increase for homeowners.
SAFETY & SECURITY: Our kids deserve a safe and secure learning environment. A YES! vote will invest in increased exterior door monitoring, secure entrances/vestibules, and replacement doors and locks.
BUILDING EFFICIENCIES: Voting YES! will support much-needed improvements to our aging buildings, including improved heating/cooling, new elementary playgrounds, elementary classroom space, modernized learning environments, parking lot updates, and enhanced audio/visual technologies.
NEW EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER: Our community suffers from an unmet demand for care of children ages 0-5. A YES! vote will allow consolidation of resources and a purpose-built space designed for pre-school and our youngest learners.
FINE ARTS & ATHLETIC FACILITIES: A YES vote will fund replacement of the stage floor, lighting upgrades and other interior updates to fine arts program spaces along with installation of a multi-use turf field for soccer and community use as well as improvements to tennis, track, wrestling, baseball and softball spaces.
